I was reading the news today and thought about Kim Davis and how she thinks she's today's Rosa Parks. She genuinely believes that history will look back on her as a historic civil rights activist.

Then it occurred to me that if she were remembered at all - she'd be likely to go down in history in much the way Typhoid Mary did.

For those who don't know, Typhoid Mary was an asymptomatic carrier of Typhoid Fever working as a cook. Typhoid Fever is transmissible via contaminated food - so her status as an asymptomatic carrier and a cook basically made her a mobile weapon of lethal disease.

Investigators found a trail of employment where she would work somewhere for a few weeks, an outbreak would happen, and she would immediately leave with no forwarding address. Several people she'd worked for died or their family members died as a result of the disease.

Doctors finally narrowed it down to her and discovered that the disease was harboured by her gall bladder and that removing it could cure her and make her safe. She refused to allow them to remove it, denying that she even had the disease. She was quarantined for three years, released only on the condition that she give up her profession as a cook and that she exercise basic hygiene to avoid transmission. She agreed, signing an affidavit to the effect.

Mary Mallon (aka Typhoid Mary) was also the holder of the
World's Most Effective Resting Bitch Face Award forty years running!

However, the job she procured as a laundress didn't pay as much as cooking, and she changed her name and returned to her former profession. Immediately more people became ill.

In essence, Typhoid Mary was informed that she was making people sick and killing them and adopted a, "You can't tell me what to do." attitude and continued on her merry way as a harbinger of disease.

It's cited as one of the cases which helped to decide what responsibility a public body has to protect its people. Certainly they couldn't force her to have her gall bladder removed - it was her body. Instead, the New York government did what it had to do, condemning Mary to isolation for the rest of her life on an island or until she'd consent to having the diseased organ removed. They knew they couldn't trust her. They knew that she would make people sick again.

This is how history will see Kim Davis - not as someone who brought about great change due to her heroic acts but as someone who brought about greater awareness through viciously wilful ignorance and denial.

Having finished this blog and having nothing at all to write about (because I'm all zen and shit), I turned to my go-to people for hate, the Westboro Baptist Church.

Who better to hate first than the most hateful motherfuckers I've ever laid eyes upon.

For those of you who aren't aware of the Westboro Baptist Church (who I'm now just calling WBC because I can't be fucked to type out their whole fucking name every time I refer tot hem), these guys are a church group who hate and have rage against....eeeeeveryone. Gay? They fucking hate you. Not gay? They probably still fucking hate you and don't believe that you're not gay. A soldier? They fucking hate you. Anyone non-American? They fucking hate you. Any religion other than...well, pretty much any religion? They fucking hate you....and not just them...God hates you. Isn't that right, God?



Well, apparently God does...

And aren't their kids cute? Their hateful, mindwarped little kids who believe that anything and everything is sinful, evil and wrong? Awesome. Just fucking awesome.

Who are these glorious soldiers speakers (they hate soldiers) for God led by? None other than Fred Phelps, the fucking ghoul himself.



Try to sympathise with these people. I fucking dare you.



Did you notice how utterly terrified a great many of those people looked? Terrified of him? Terrified of God or terrified of ...baby eating...homosexuals? ...sometimes I'm not sure if Fred Phelps isn't a little demented and just rambling like some old decaying guy in a nursing home...

The WBC is particularly known for picketing at funerals. They've picketed at the funerals of homosexuals killed in hate crimes, the funerals of soldiers who have died in Iraq, and...wait, what did these kids even do?

Apparently...if anything bad happens to anyone...God did it because he hates you with fire. ...doesn't this sound like someone we all know and love?



Maybe that's it...maybe the WBC are secretly Satan worshippers! ...it sure makes a fuckton more sense than worshipping God...right?

So how do you DEAL with people like this? It's hard to ignore them...they pop up in the news constantly and when they do it's like watching Bill O'Reily or Pat Robertson and you can't look away, you just want to gouge their fucking eyes out with your thumbs.

How do you deal with them? Violence? No, surely not...I'm not into the idea of beating anyone because you hate them, even evil fuckers like these people. No. I much prefer...MOCKERY!





Because we all know how much I love mocking people.

Don't worry, my friends. One day we'll live in a blissful world free of Fucktards like the Westboro Baptist Church. Until then, lets make fun of them - because making them a joke takes whatever power they have away from them...and at least we get to make up silly signs and dress like robots, right?
